A RAZA_circle is a voice-driven improvisational listening project, where we drop in, and seek to listen and touch our inner voices as we rise into the exquisite power and healing of collective song.
This RAZA_circle is open to women of all backgrounds. Please bring your heart and voice, as you are ~ this is an evening of collective song, not a concert or performance. Please bring something comfortable to sit on as we will be circling on the cozy, rug covered floor.
This circle is facilitated by Chana Raskin. She founded RAZA to explore the feminine voice in the Hasidic melodies of her childhood. In Feb 2022, she released her debut album "Kapelya", the first professionally recorded LP of women singing Chabad Hasidic nigunim. Chana has performed and led circles around the world, both solo, and accompanied by her all-female band and chorus.
